The 2009 Global Leadership Class gets underway with a public forum on education for a global environment. The speakers are Dan Challener, Executive Director of the Public Education Foundation and Eileen Robertson Rehberg, Director of Data Analysis and the State of Chattanooga Region Reportof the Ochs Center for Metropoitan Studies (previously the Community Research Council). They will share their expertise during lunch from 11:30-1:00 at Wally’s on Ringgold Road in East Ridge, TN. The members of the class will be announced and introduced at this time. The session is open to the public and guests are warmly invited. The cost to guests is $15.00 - payable at the door. A buffet lunch is included in the fee; parking is free. The Global Leadership Class is a project of the American Diversity Report. Its members meet once a month throughout the school year. The class sessions are in two categories: content and process. The content classes are panel presentations from diverse cultural communities, generations, gender, faiths and businesses. The process classes are interactive skill-set sessions that focus on building diverse teams, leaders and communication expertise. As part of our public service goal, we open several of our session to the public. The schedule of Public forums are as follows: September 18, 2008: Educating For A Global Environment (public 11:30-1:00 PM)November 13, 2008: Ethnicity and Race Issues (public 11:30 AM-1:00 PM) Co-Sponsored by the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce February 26, 2009: Business Trends: Local and Global (public 11:30 AM-1:00 PM) Location: Public sessions take place at Wally's Restaurant in East Ridge, Tennessee. A buffet meal and free parking are included.
