Black Ink Written by Chamus Burnside
I have the ability to confirm your existence and connect you to another till death do you part. I have the ability to bind you financially to a house or even a car. I can seal the fate of a company or change the life of a troubled man. I can confirm a valid purchase OR solidify a scam Yes . . . Black Ink, that is of what I speak Let me not leave you with a meaning that is oh so weak. Black Ink is powerful, potent, precious and a huge part of history. Used to document the legal decisions and still tracing family trees. I can’t be taken for granted; I should not be dismissed or overlooked. My goodness, if I was, what would happen to school books? Yes, yes I know some of the young folks may say the technology age is here. Black Ink reminds me of our ancestry which dates back many many years. Powerful, potent, positive, precious, the old with dreams, hopes and fears Fears that freedom would never come, but they knew there was a God! For example on Emancipation Day I can imagine the “Thank You Lord” So when I think of Black Ink and its place in history, I know I am powerful, potent, positive, precious and a proud legacy! Black Ink . . . Still making history . . . |
